Middle School 历史 is a survey course of United States history from the colonial period through the modern era. Students will utilize a variety of sources in their study to include primary source materials. From their study, students will develop an underst和ing of the course of United States history from its founding to the 21st century.

Designed as an 8th grade course, 世界地理 explores the main physical features of the earth’s surface. As each geographical area is studied, countries in those areas, their economies 和 politics, are also discussed. Maps are used extensively.

世界历史 is a two-semester course. The first semester is concerned with the ancient world; the second semester deals with the medieval period. Primary source materials are used throughout 和 students are required to write extensively about historical topics.

The first semester covers Western Civilization’s modern era 和 the second semester examines the U.S. colonial period through the Civil War. Students work frequently with primary source materials 和 write extensively about topics related to history.

United States 历史 is a two-semester course. The first 和 second semesters explore United States history from the end of the Civil War through the modern era. Students work frequently with primary source materials 和 are expected to write extensively about topics relating to U.S. 历史.

United States Government is an in-depth study of the governmental system 和 politics of our country. A comparison is made between our form of government 和 those of other countries. 具体地说, the course examines constitutional principles, 国会, 总统, the Supreme Court, political parties 和 international relations 和 policies.

This two-semester course is a survey of United States history from the colonial period to the modern era. Students read primary sources extensively 和 complete in-depth semester projects on selected topics. This is a dual enrollment course in which cadets receive both high school 和 college credit through Shen和oah University.
